Quilt sandwiching process
Here are the steps I take in sandwiching a quilt. First step to lay the back fabric down, stretch it and tape it to keep it tight….
Then I roll the batting out and cut it off…
Next I lay the quilt top on top of the batting….
Then pin the layers together, quilt them and add the binding.
This is the finished boys quilt which I dropped off today for a review for Homespun Oasis.
Same steps for the girl quilt. stretch and tape
pin
look at the cute 3-d mouse!
I use my “Big Brother” quilting sewing machine, which only sews straight stitches, but can do 1500 stitches a minute if I put the peddle to the metal, but not with the walking foot on!
Trimming the extra batting and fabric
another cute detail, with a sequin tiara.
And the finished girl quilt, which will be given away to some lucky reader of Homespun Oasis. Check it out over the next few weeks for your chance to win.
