Quilt sandwiching process

DSCN1498

Here are the steps I take in sandwiching a quilt.  First step to lay the back fabric down, stretch it and tape it to keep it tight….

Then I roll the batting out and cut it off…

Next I lay the quilt top on top of the batting….

Then pin the layers together, quilt them and add the binding.

This is the finished boys quilt which I dropped off today for a review for Homespun Oasis.

I use my “Big Brother” quilting sewing machine, which only sews straight stitches, but can do 1500 stitches a minute if I put the peddle to the metal, but not with the walking foot on!
